BlackBoard Collaborate

blackboard

BlackBoard Collaborate allows students and teachers to participate in highly engaging learning experiences even if untold distance separates the learner and educator.  Rural and remote educators could utilize Black Board collaborate in the classroom to effectively connect classroom learning with professionals and communities from all over the world.  Imagine having an online virtual interview with an author from the United Kingdom using just a single smart board!

The benefit of Blackboard Collaborate is that both parties in the learning experiences can easily contribute to the direction of the discussion.

Although this Year 7/8 Content descriptor from the Technologies Curriculum of the National Australian Curriculum clearly links to the use of Blackboard Collaborate, the technology could easily be incorporated into many other areas of the curriculum.
